Starting kiosk when it fails to start up after a Windows 10 update

The recent Windows 10 April 2018 update is causing issues with the kiosk startup when it has to update. Here are the steps to get the kiosk working properly again:

Start by navigating to your user in FileExplorer, normally this is found under the C: Drive, in the root folder. This may be somewhere else on your PC.

You should see an AppData folder. If you do not see the AppData folder, go to View in the above menu and check the HIDDEN

Once you see the AppData folder navigate the following folders:

AppData
Local
Apps
2.0
T4VTXX4M.N1G (This folder will be different on your computer, it should be the only folder contained within 2.0)
HD9WJN2A (This folder will be different on your computer, again it should be the only folder contained within the previous folder)
kios..tion_(YOUR KIOSK LICENSE KEY)

The folder path will look as per below:

C:\Users\cul_b\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0\T4VTXX4M.N1G\HD9WJN2A.GQ2\daki..tion_8901030e989c93fa_0001.0001_e311e67a2cf68dd1

Within that final folder, start the kiosk by running the Kiosk3.exe file.

This should prompt the Windows SmartScreen filter, which willlook similar to the below. Click on run anyway. The kiosk will now work from the taskbar launcher again.
