Upgrading to New Kiosk Installer

Since the Spring Windows 10 Creator's Update, there have been some issues with the kiosk software's auto-update feature. Unfortunately, the Microsoft application we use to update the kiosk software is no longer reliable and many of you are not receiving your kiosk software updates.

We've created a new kiosk install package which you'll have to manually run just once to get to the latest version of the kiosk software. Here are the short steps you have to follow:

Get the kiosk installation software from https://kiosk.mydakis.com/kiosk-setup.exe

Run the kiosk-setup.exe file on your kiosk PC.

If you see the Windows Defender SmartScreen, click on more info and then Run Anyway

During the installation process, you'll be asked to IMPORT THE KIOSK CONFIGURATION FROM OLD INSTALLATION, click on that button to ensure your settings transfer over to the new version.

An icon should be present on the desktop called Shortcut to Kiosk 3.

Uninstall Kiosk3 from the Control Panel. The new kiosk is called Kiosk 4.2.1.X in your Control Panel.

If for any reason you can't find the shortcut, the default installation path is the following:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Dakis\Kiosk
You'll want to create a shortcut to the following file : Kiosk3 Starter.exe
