Accessibility statements are important for several reasons:
  • Show your users that you care about accessibility and about them
  • Provide them with information about the accessibility of your content
  • Demonstrate commitment to accessibility, and to social responsibility
In some situations, you may be required to provide an accessibility statement, such as public bodies in countries that implement the EU Web Accessibility Directive . The W3C list of Web Accessibility Laws & Policies can help you identify policies applicable to you.

Privacy Policy

A privacy policy is a document that states what personal data you collect from your users, why, and how you keep it private

As a website owner, you need to have a privacy policy to comply with local privacy policies. In the main jurisdictions dakis operates in, these are the acts to follow:
GDPR (Europe)
PIPEDA (Canada)
CCPA (California) - the USA doesn't have a federal privacy law and the California act is generally the most stringent. Check with your local authorities for guidance on how to treat personal data.

Terms & Conditions is the document defining the legal contract between the retailer and the consumer. This can also be referred to as Terms of Service (ToS), Terms of Use and End User License Agreement (EULA). Terms & Conditions for retail are fairly standard and there are many generators online that can help you craft yours. More complex business' should refer to their lawyers for more information.

Note that very many payment processors won't let you operate online without clearly defined terms & conditions outlining things as delivery policy, refund policy, return policy, product information policy, pricing policy, etc.
