Payment Methods - PayPal Platform

Allow customers to place an order for pick up in store or ship to home with unbranded credit and debit card fields or PayPal payment methods. (Including PayPal, PayPal Pay Later, Venmo, and other localized wallets.)

Note that you can create your PayPal account directly in MyDakis or you can connect your existing PayPal account via the oAuth flow.

Setting Up PayPal Platform Payments.

In the mydakis portal, navigate to the PAYMENTS section.

When clicking Add Payment Method, Select PayPal Platform

If PayPal Platform is already greyed out, you can find it in the list of enabled or disabled payments below:

The minimum order amount will increase adjust the sub total so the order value isn't under a certain threshold.

In this case, the subtotal before taxes and shipping is increased to $2.00, a 'minimum order amount adjustment' line item is added to the order to do so.

You'll then want to adjust the display settings for the payment method. This is used internally and in some receipts.You will then want to SAVE the button.

You'll notice that you are still on the same page, except that the PAYPAL PLATFORM SETTINGS is now showing you error messages. This is normal at this point and nothing to worry about.

Click on SIGN UP to link your existing PayPal account or create a new one.

Depending on your browser, this will take you to a new window or a pop up window that is fully hosted by PayPal.

If you have an existing PayPal account, you will be asked to sign in to complete the process.

If you do not have a PayPal account, you will be prompted to create one.

Once you are done in the PayPal window, you will be prompted to return to the mydakis.com portal. (In this case the go back to test store button.)

If for any reason this link doesn't work, you can right click and open in a new window, this will also properly return you to the mydakis.com.

You will know everything is alright if the PayPal platform settings card looks as such:

The USE AUTHORIZE ONLY checkbox allows you to decide if you want to AUTHORIZE & CAPTURE directly in checkout or if you want to simply AUTHORIZE transactions and CAPTURE later in the mydakis.com when you confirm the order.
