Online Photo Solutions Quick Setup Guide

In this article, we will show you the basic steps to follow when setting up your online photo solutions for the first time.

First, setup your general settings by following these steps:

Set your shipping modes  

Set your shipping rules

Set your tax rates
(There's a setting for inclusive taxes such as those in Europe, UK and Australia that needs to be set here : General Settings - Default Parameters - Dakis Knowledge Base)

Setup your store

Set your payment methods  

Set your service areas

Set your notification emails

Then, for your Photominator, you will want to setup your photo prints by following these steps:

Create your photo print groups

Create your print sizes

Create print options

The next step is to setup your Photo Factory. This will allow you to setup your photo products in your webstore and kiosk. To do this, follow these steps:

Import photo gift templates

Publish photo factory templates

Mass price your gifts

Price individual gift items

Assign Gift options (Optional)

The last step in configurating your kiosk is to set up the job downloader. Follow these step to learn how:

Download the job downloader

Get your auto-configuration code

Test the job downloader

How long will it take for my Online Photo Solution to get setup? 

Once you sign up it should take around 24 to 48 business hours for Dakis to setup your MyDakis portal.  If you are building a full website with our Online Photo Solution integrated you should expect for the job to be completed within the next 30 days as long as you provide your project manager with the requested information, meaning website text and images.  You must price and activate your photo gifts and print formats.

If you simply signed on to the Online Photo Solutions without the website service you could be online and ready to receive orders within 72 hours, it’s entirely up to you.

What do I do if I want to offer products that I can’t produce in my lab? 
No problem! We have a few helpful options for you.  Be sure to contact your Dakis representative for help.  If you do not know who your Dakis representative is simply send an email out to sales@dakis.com.
I have made changes to my online pricing but the modifications won’t apply, help! 
99% of the time you need to clear your server cache, click here to find out how.  Alternatively, your server cache clears itself automatically 1 hour after your most recent modification.

I want to make custom products, is that possible? 

Yes it’s possible and it’s actually very easy to do.  Here is a link to a video on how to create a custom folded card as well as a link to a video on how to create a mobile case insert.  If you would like a tutorial on how to create custom templates contact your dakis representative. 

Who do I contact if I need technical support? 

The first thing you should do is consult help.dakis.com to see if you can resolve the issue through the listed topics.  If you still require assistance email support@dakis.com detailing your issue, be sure to include information such as order numbers if possible, screen caps are always appreciated.
